IIZA Digital Learning Academy

Welcome to the IIZA Digital Learning Academy, the official online learning platform of the Insurance Institute of Zambia (IIZA). By accessing, registering for, or using the Academy, you agree to comply with and be bound by these Terms of Service.

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using the IIZA Digital Learning Academy, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agreed to these Terms of Service and all applicable policies governing the use of the platform.

If you do not agree with these terms, you should discontinue use of the platform immediately.

2. About the Academy

The IIZA Digital Learning Academy provides online learning, professional development programmes, certifications, assessments, corporate learning solutions, and related educational resources for insurance professionals, organisations, and other approved users.

3. User Registration and Accounts

To access certain services, users may be required to create an account.

Users agree to:

• Provide accurate and complete information during registration.
• Maintain the confidentiality of login credentials.
• Accept responsibility for all activities conducted through their account.
• Notify the Academy immediately of any unauthorized use of their account.

IIZA reserves the right to suspend or terminate accounts where false information is provided or where misuse is detected.

4. Course Enrolment and Access

Course enrolment may be subject to:

• Eligibility requirements
• Payment of applicable fees
• Acceptance of specific programme requirements
• Availability of course places where applicable

Access to courses is granted solely for personal or authorised organisational learning purposes and may not be shared with others.

5. Payments and Refunds

Where fees apply:

• All course fees must be paid in accordance with the published payment terms.
• Access to paid programmes may be withheld until payment is confirmed.
• Refund requests will be considered in accordance with IIZA's applicable refund policy.
• IIZA reserves the right to revise programme fees and pricing at any time.

6. Learning Conduct and Academic Integrity

Users are expected to maintain high standards of professionalism and integrity.

Users shall not:

• Cheat or engage in academic misconduct.
• Impersonate another learner.
• Share examination or assessment materials without authorization.
• Upload harmful, offensive, unlawful, or inappropriate content.
• Disrupt learning activities or platform operations.

Violations may result in suspension, termination, or revocation of certificates.

7. Assessments and Certification

Certification may be awarded upon successful completion of programme requirements, including assessments, examinations, assignments, or attendance requirements where applicable.

IIZA reserves the right to:

• Verify learner identity.
• Review assessment submissions.
• Withhold or revoke certifications obtained through misconduct or misrepresentation.

8. Intellectual Property

All content available on the Academy, including:

• Courses
• Learning materials
• Assessments
• Videos
• Graphics
• Documents
• Logos
• Platform content

remains the property of IIZA or its licensors and is protected by applicable intellectual property laws.

Users may not reproduce, distribute, modify, sell, or commercially exploit Academy content without prior written permission.

9. Corporate Learning Accounts

Where access is provided through an employer or sponsoring organisation:

• Learning activity and progress information may be shared with authorised organisational administrators.
• Organisations may monitor participation, completion status, and training outcomes for workforce development purposes.

10. Platform Availability

While IIZA seeks to maintain reliable access to the Academy, uninterrupted availability cannot be guaranteed.

IIZA reserves the right to:

• Modify platform features
• Update content
• Suspend services for maintenance
• Discontinue programmes where necessary

without prior notice.

11. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, IIZA shall not be liable for:

• Loss of data
• Business interruption
• Indirect or consequential losses
• Technical issues beyond its reasonable control
• Decisions made based on information obtained through Academy programmes

Participation in Academy programmes does not guarantee employment, promotion, licensing, or professional certification beyond those specifically awarded.

12. Privacy and Data Protection

Use of the Academy is subject to the IIZA Digital Learning Academy Privacy Policy, which governs the collection, use, and protection of personal information.

13. Termination of Access

IIZA reserves the right to suspend or terminate access where a user:

• Violates these Terms of Service
• Engages in fraudulent or unlawful activities
• Misuses Academy resources
• Fails to comply with programme requirements

Termination may occur without refund where misconduct is established.

14. Changes to Terms

IIZA may revise these Terms of Service from time to time. Updated versions will be published on the Academy platform and become effective upon publication.

Continued use of the Academy constitutes acceptance of any revised terms.

15. Governing Law

These Terms of Service shall be governed and interpreted in accordance with the laws of the Republic of Zambia.

Any disputes arising from the use of the Academy shall be subject to the jurisdiction of the competent courts of Zambia.
